For retail stock work, warehouse tasks and enterprise mobility, evaluate the Datalogic Memor 30/35 family as a premium alternative to an existing TC53e/TC58e estate. Memor 30 suits Wi-Fi deployments. Memor 35 adds cellular connectivity. The 30X/35X variants add an extended-range scanning option. IOR can also compare Urovo handhelds where the workflow calls for a different format or specification.
Specify scan range before choosing a device
Standard-range and extended-range configurations serve different jobs. Datalogic publishes a working-distance range up to 10 m for the DE2121-ER configuration under specified barcode conditions. This is not a guaranteed distance for every label. Compare it with the installed Zebra scan engine using actual barcode size, rack position, lighting and label quality.
Battery and handling
The standard battery capacity is 4680 mAh on both families. Extended options differ: 6800 mAh for Memor and 7000 mAh for the Zebra family. Capacity does not prove which device will last longer in your application. Check wireless-charging battery and dock requirements, swap behaviour and the number of charging positions needed per shift.
Both families carry IP65/IP68 ratings with the battery installed. These ratings do not establish suitability for wash-down or routine submersion. Drop and tumble ratings depend on boots, temperature, surfaces and test conditions, so confirm the required handling specification with the exact configuration.
Applications and migration
Validate business applications, MDM enrolment, scan-data formatting and any Zebra-specific API dependencies on an evaluation device. Map replacement cradles, trigger handles, vehicle mounts and batteries before rollout. Multi-side NFC does not by itself establish payment acceptance: payment software, certifications and the acquirer must be checked separately.
Android and lifecycle
Datalogic currently describes support for the Memor platform up to Android 19. Confirm the shipping OS and available releases for the quoted SKU. Obtain current manufacturer lifecycle dates and the required support package in writing. Launch-era forecasts are unsuitable as purchase guarantees.
