A receipt printer prints on plain thermal roll (typically 80 mm) for customer dockets at the till. A label printer prints on adhesive label media — direct thermal or thermal transfer, usually up to 4-inch width — for shelf-edge, shipping, and product labelling. They're not interchangeable: the media handling and drivers differ.
